Note that the agreement to permit students enjoy their christmas and new year celebration period outside school environment was made at an emergency sitting on 5th Dec. 2017. According to the Senate, the essence of this decree is to appraise the situation on campus following the nation-wide industrial strike action embarked upon by the Non-Teaching Staff Unions. Also,  in Federal government-owned Universities, comprising Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU). Likewise, National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT).

On this point, all students are to vacate their Halls of residence latest by 4:00pm on Wednesday, 6th December, 2017 for Chrstmas and New Year break.

Therefore, the general public, including students Parents/Guardians of the University’s students should note this latest development. Consequently, they should make sure their children work exactly according to instrction as to OAU Christmas Break.

RESUMPTION DATE:

Meanwhie all students of this institution are to return back from the break unfailingly Tuesday, 2nd January, 2018. The plan is that lectures will start fully on Wednesday, 3rd January after the short break.
