This program is an exchange program that brings almost 900 high school students from approximately 40 countries with significant Muslim populations to the United States to study each year.

Furthermore, it aims to expand communication between the people of the United States in order to promote mutual understanding and respect.

Interestingly, the program supports students with disabilities and encourages their participation and as well works with a separate organization to provide the students with leadership-building workshops.

Host Countries

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Jordan, North Macedonia, Malaysia, Morocco, the Philippines, Senegal, Thailand, and Turkey.

Scholarship Value

  • Firstly, it covers domestic and international travel;
  • Secondly, tuition and related academic preparation;
  • Thirdly, accommodations with a host family;
  • Lastly, educational and cultural activities in the host country, orientations, applicable visa fees, three meals per day, and medical coverage.

Qualifications

  • Open to high school students who are United States citizens;
  • Applicant should have interest in studying in abroad and other countries.
  • He/she should be between the ages of 15-17 years by the start of the program (August 1, 2022)
  • Must be in high school at the time of application in their respective home country.
  • The applicant should attain a minimum marks of 60% in all major/core subjects (English, Mathematics, Sciences) in the last class attended without any failing grades,
  • He/she must have an overall minimum average mark of 60% for the past three years. (Students with a gap year or a repeated year are ineligible.)
  • Be able to communicate in English.
  • Applicants must have earned a minimum mark of 60% on the last English exam and minimum marks of 60% for the previous two years
  • Meet U.S. J-1 visa eligibility requirements (for instance, U.S. citizens are not eligible for J-1 visa);
  • Must be an international citizen.

Required Documents

  • Complete Online Application Form.
  • Terms and Conditions Form signed by the applicant and all parents/legal guardians.
  • Parent/legal guardian statement.
  • Grade Transcripts: uploaded in PDF form.
  • Letter of Motivation to explain the intent of applying to the program.
  • Statement of purpose (SOP).
  • Scholarship Application Resume.
  • A copy of a valid passport for at least one year.
  • Recommendation letters from two professors of the previous institute.
  • English Proficiency Exam.
